Trading Rules

• Create a free account with a username, email, and password.
• You start with $100,000 in virtual USD.
• Use your balance to buy and sell crypto at real market prices.
• Your goal: grow your portfolio value and climb the leaderboard.

You can trade the top 200 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. The full list is loaded from CoinGecko and includes coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and many more. Check the Trade page for the current list.

• Prices are fetched from CoinGecko every 60 seconds.
• All prices are in USD.
• If a price is older than 120 seconds, trades will be rejected (stale price protection).

• Buy only with cash: No margin, no leverage, no shorting.
• Minimum trade: $10 USD equivalent per trade.
• Cooldown: 3-second minimum between trades.
• Rate limit: Maximum 10 trades per minute.
• USD or coin amount: You can enter a dollar amount (e.g. "$1000 of BTC") or a coin amount. The system calculates the other automatically.
• No fractional selling: You cannot sell more than you own.
• Trades execute at the current market price (no limit orders).

• A daily snapshot is taken at midnight UTC.
• Portfolio value = cash balance + (sum of each holding × current price).
• All users are ranked by total portfolio value, highest first.
• Public profiles show username and portfolio (but not email).

• You can export all your data anytime from Settings (GDPR right to portability).
• You can delete your account anytime from Settings (GDPR right to erasure).
• Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data.
• Passwords are hashed with Argon2id and never stored in plain text.

• One account per person.
• Automated trading bots are not allowed.
• This is a simulation — no real money is involved.
